Annual Snapdragon Book Foundation Grant
Who can apply: Applicants must submit a project connected to a specific U.S. school library serving children from PreK through 12th grade. School libraries serving disadvantaged youth, including alternative schools such as youth detention centers, may apply. Public libraries, afterschool programs, foundations, and organizations not applying on behalf of a specific school are not eligible. U.S. territories are eligible; schools in other countries are not. Prior recipients may apply annually. Matching funds are not required. Projects may request books used repeatedly by school-aged children, reference materials, magazine or newspaper subscriptions, and book processing or cataloguing fees. The Foundation does not fund books for students to keep, author visits, staff hours, technology, furniture, audiovisual equipment, online database subscriptions, or similar items.
Deadline: Applications are accepted from November through February each year and are due by a February deadline; the precise date varies by year and is stated on the application.
