Annual Environmental Grants

Who can apply: Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) nonprofits, towns, and schools. Organizations or projects must be based in one of the listed focus towns. Projects focused on the Connecticut River corridor or Long Island Sound may be considered if they demonstrate impact in at least one focus town. Applicants that do not independently meet the eligibility requirements may partner with an eligible entity as a co-applicant. Projects should be completed within 12 months and begin no later than July 1, 2027. A match of at least 25% of the grant request is required, consisting of cash, materials, or in-kind professional services; volunteer hours do not qualify.

Deadline: 2027 applications are due November 11, 2026 at 12:00 PM (noon).
