Who can apply: Grants made exclusively to Hawaiian tax-exempt organizations (501(c)(3)). No grants to individuals. Applicants should include their IRS 501(c)(3) determination letter, most recent 12-month financial statement or IRS Form 990, contact information, and information on primary funding sources. Board evaluates requests in relation to organizational budget to avoid over-reliance on Foundation support.
Deadline: Grant applications must be received by February 16th of each year. (Applications received after the deadline may not be considered.) In 2026 the Foundation indicated two rounds (spring and fall), but the site specifies the February 16 annual deadline.
