General Grant Application (H.S. Lopez Family Foundation)

Who can apply: Projects must be sponsored by a nonprofit organization exempt from federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, have support from appropriate organizations and/or government units, and be located in the community where the project will be carried out. Projects must involve health, education, or welfare; demonstrate benefit beyond the recipient organization; avoid duplicating an existing Foundation grant; and reasonably ensure continued support after Foundation involvement. Grants do not support individuals, land purchases, permanent foundations or trusts, permanent interest-bearing accounts, general operating costs, legislative lobbying, or discriminatory restrictions on services or employment. New proposals will be considered no earlier than nine months after a grant is made.

Deadline: Quarterly deadlines: January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1. Corresponding anticipated funding months are March, June, September, and December.
