General Grantmaking (Unsolicited Grants)
Who can apply: Organizations located within the 11-county metropolitan Atlanta area may apply. The Foundation typically partners with established organizations with strong leadership, active boards of directors, and a demonstrated record of financial stability. Eligible programming may include pilot, development, or expansion programs; curriculum development; professional development; capacity building; partnerships; innovation; and research and analysis. The Foundation generally does not fund annual or membership drives, capital campaigns, event or conference sponsorships, general operating expenses, government agencies, grants to individuals, international organizations, lobbying or legislative associations, political campaigns, or religious organizations. Additional excluded service areas are listed in the Funding Eligibility guidelines.
Deadline: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Invited proposals are reviewed by the Board of Directors twice per year, following the May and November meetings.
