E.L. Cord Foundation Grants (General Grants)
Who can apply: Applicants must have current federal tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) and not be a private foundation under Section 509(a), and must comply with the Foundation's application procedures. The Foundation primarily considers organizations in Northern Nevada and rural Nevada counties. Applicants must submit a concise project statement, organizational background and objectives, audited prior-year financial statements, current-year budget, recent unaudited financial statements, major funding sources, a project-results measurement plan, IRS determination letter, and governing board list. Requests for direct aid to individuals, fundraising events or campaigns, deficit funding, conferences or seminars, dinners, mass mailings, pass-through grants, sectarian religious activities, or continuing/permanent support are not eligible.
