Tateuchi Foundation General Grant Program
Who can apply: Organizations whose projects promote US–Japan understanding, stimulate educational opportunities in contemporary Japanese studies, or promote artistic/cultural exchanges between the US and Japan. Applicants should demonstrate that the project does not duplicate services, coordinates with public/private agencies, is well-positioned to serve the need, and has realistic objectives with measurable evaluation standards. Funding will not be considered for projects that are solely political or not charitable under applicable tax law.
Deadline: No fixed deadlines; grant applications may be submitted at any time and are normally reviewed quarterly. Preliminary letter inquiry reviewed in most cases within 30 days. Decision typically within 30 days after review conclusion.
