IOLTA Grant Program

Who can apply: Eligible applicants must generally be exempt from taxation under Section 501(c)(3) or agree to use funds only for charitable or educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3), and must be an equal opportunity employer that does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, marital status, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability. The Board will not make grants for political campaigns, organizations primarily for lobbying, activities the government has an obligation to fund, or charitable activities that promote a religion or require participation in a religious activity as a condition of services. Historically, some cycles state that organizations new to the IOLTA program are not eligible or are restricted, while the 2024 process encouraged new applicants.
