Ten Talents Foundation concentrates large, local gifts on faith‑based organizations and front‑line social service ministries in the St. Louis area, with a clear emphasis on homeless outreach and church ministry. The foundation both makes direct multi‑year gifts to repeat grantees and routes significant dollars through donor‑advised vehicles and affiliated trusts, signaling a mix of programmatic and advised philanthropy tied to religious and community service priorities.
A defining feature of Ten Talents Foundation’s grantmaking is its repeated six- and seven-figure support for ministries serving homeless people, church communities, and vulnerable families. Among the largest recent awards, it gave $1,166,600 in 2025 to Matthew's Hope Ministries for homeless outreach and $861,600 in 2025 to Northland Church for religious ministry, alongside a $930,643 grant to Signatry Charitable Trust for general support. Those awards sit within a broader pattern of giving to faith-based organizations and direct-service groups, including nonprofits working on orphan care, disability support, anti-trafficking, refugee livelihoods, and maternal health. The foundation also makes grants through donor-advised vehicles and affiliated trusts, which shapes how many of its dollars move across ministries and charitable funds. Its recent grants show both steady repeat funding and broad topical reach, with support extending from local congregational work to international humanitarian ministries. Ten Talents Foundation also funds individuals and makes program-related investments, indicating a toolkit that goes beyond standard operating grants.
Homeless outreach is one of the clearest themes in the recent record: Ten Talents Foundation gave $1,166,600 in 2025 to Matthew's Hope Ministries for homeless outreach, following similar support in 2024 and 2023. Faith-based ministry is another core area, reflected in $861,600 to Northland Church in 2025 for religious ministry and earlier support for the same church. The foundation also backs child welfare and orphan care across borders. It gave $265,000 in 2025 to Hands at Work to provide for orphans, widows and children dying in Africa, and $251,149 in 2025 to Hope for Orphans USA Inc for a Christian ministry supporting orphan children in Ukraine. Disability-related giving appears as well, including $125,000 in 2025 to Lift Disability Network to meet the needs and support families with disabilities. Education and economic opportunity show up in grants to Oca - Opportunity Community Ability for education for autism and to Magic City Woodworks for teaching young men gainful employment.
Typical grant size is $7,500 at the 25th percentile, $15,000 at the median, and $50,000 at the 75th percentile, but the recent record also includes much larger awards in the six- and seven-figure range. The foundation’s giving is not limited to one-off support: several recipients appear in multiple years, including Matthew's Hope Ministries, Northland Church, Hands at Work, Hope for Orphans USA Inc, Lift Disability Network, and Avail NYC. Ten Talents Foundation uses donor-advised funds and affiliated trust structures, and it also supports individuals and makes program-related investments. Its active giving vehicles include donor-advised funds, ministry funds, planned giving tools, and asset-based giving pathways, and some of these accept unsolicited requests.
