Community Partner (Hunger Relief Community Partner)
Who can apply: Applicants must have tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) or another applicable subsection of the Internal Revenue Code, must not be private foundations, and must be incorporated to serve ill or needy people, seniors, low-income families, or minor children. Organizations must have a county health department- or Family and Social Services Administration-inspected and licensed kitchen, at least one food-safety-trained staff member or volunteer present whenever meals are served, and must serve multiple free meals per month to a minimum number of people at each meal. Applicants must provide information about clients served, meal frequency, and average attendance, and acknowledge that Second Helpings cannot accommodate dietary restrictions, allergies, or other specific meal requests.
