Philip and Bernice Krupp Foundation for Jewish Life

About Philip and Bernice Krupp Foundation for Jewish Life

A defining feature of the Philip and Bernice Krupp Foundation for Jewish Life is its sustained support for Jewish–Arab education and coexistence, including repeated grants to Hand in Hand American Friends of the Center for Jewish-arab Education. Alongside that work, the foundation backs Jewish communal life through arts, education, advocacy, and emergency assistance tied to Israel. The recent record shows a mix of national organizations and local institutions, suggesting a portfolio that moves between broad Jewish public issues and community-based programming. The foundation has also supported groups working on Jewish civil rights, progressive advocacy, and intercommunal dialogue. Recipients in the recent grants list include Jews United for Justice Inc, Bend the Arc Jewish Action Inc, T'ruah, and the Anti-defamation League, as well as cultural and educational organizations such as Jewish Studio Project and Vilna Shul. Other grants go to relief-oriented organizations connected to Israel, including New Israel Fund - Emergency Safety Net - for Emergencsy Safety Net, American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, and American Friends of Magen David Adom. The pattern points to a funder centered on Jewish life that combines advocacy, education, culture, and humanitarian response.
