The Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, comprising the de Young Museum in Golden Gate Park and the Legion of Honor in Lincoln Park, is the largest public arts institution in the city of San Francisco. The permanent collection of the Fine Arts Museums, with about 150,000 objects, is organized into nine areas, each with a curatorial staff. Donations go to support the general fund.

The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art is one of the largest museums of modern and contemporary art in the United States and a thriving cultural center for the Bay Area. Our remarkable collection of painting, sculpture, photography, architecture, design, and media arts, is housed in an LEED Gold-certified building designed by the global architects Snhetta and Mario Botta. In addition to our seven gallery floors, SFMOMA offers 45,000 square feet of free, art-filled public space open to all.SFMOMA believes the art of our time is vital and shares it with passion and purpose, and that art and the creative process can open minds and help build a better world. For that reason, we assemble unparalleled collections, create exhilarating exhibitions, and develop engaging public programs that connect with our community. The advancement of civil rights and social justice over the past century represents one of the most significant developments in American history, and the ACLU has been integral to this process.But the work of defending freedom never ends, and in our vibrant and passionate society, difficult struggles over individual rights and liberties arent likely to disappear anytime soon. The ACLU is committed to fight for freedom and the protection of constitutional rights for generations to come.

The mission of the Diablo Symphony Orchestra is to enrich the lives and cultural climate of our community by performing a diverse repertoire of live classical music and making it accessible to our regions diverse population. We foster the next generation of young musicians, provide educational programs and offer performing opportunities to local musicians.

Fireworks organization for the City of Pleasant Hill, CA, to organize and present the annual July 4th celebration and evening fireworks show. The 4th of July Commission began 45 years ago in 1976 to celebrate our county's 200th bicentennial. The mission of this commission was always to provide a safe, family-friendly event for the Pleasant Hill community to celebrate the 4th of July. The event sponsors sports competitions for youth, a parade, social events, and beautiful fireworks for the public.It has grown into the city's largest single-day event and attracts thousand of residents from Pleasant Hill and other surrounding communities.

Restoration and preservation of the USS Slater, DE766, Navy Destroyer Escort from WWII, for the education of society in the winning of the undersea warfare of World War II. Funds in 2014 went predominantly to help paint and renovate this historical warship.

The Diablo Regional Arts Association strives to support the Lesher Center for the Arts as a leading mid-sized presenter of great art and artists and the home of dynamic arts education programs. Through the Arts Access School Time Program (AASTP) shows & programs, in addition to new arts education outreach like College Notes and High School Notes A Cappella, DRAA is committed to providing access to the arts for teachers and students across the East Bay. Funds go to general support.

In 2000, Charles Best, a teacher at a Bronx public high school, thought about all the money he and his colleagues were spending on books, art supplies, and other materials for their students. They weren't alone today, teachers still spend an average of $500 out of pocket on their classrooms each year. Charles figured there were people who'd want to help if they could see where their money was going. He founded DonorsChoose, a website where teachers could post requests for classroom resources, and his colleagues posted the first 11 projects. Since then, teachers at most US public schools have requested resources through our platform. Donations are for the general fund for these programs.

TO SUPPORT THE MAINTENANCE OF THIS COMMUNITY GARDEN OPEN TO THE PUBLIC INCLUDING RELATED EDUCATIONAL PROJECTS. Today, The Ruth Bancroft Garden, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit which owns the garden and raises funds for its preservation. The garden is protected by a conservation easement, which ensures that the property will always be a garden and will be preserved in the spirit of its founder, Ruth Bancroft. The Garden has become an outstanding example of a water-conserving garden, appropriate for our Mediterranean climate. The Garden also houses important collections of aloes, agaves, yuccas, and echeverias. Aeonium Glenn Davidson, the first succulent in Ruths collection, is still growing in The Garden.

Save Mount Diablos mission is to preserve Mount Diablos peaks, surrounding foothills, and watersheds; and its sustaining Diablo Range, through land acquisition and preservation strategies designed to protect the mountains natural beauty, biological diversity, and historic and agricultural heritage; enhance our areas quality of life; and provide educational and recreational opportunities consistent with protection of natural resources. These contributions go to the general fund.

TO SUPPORT DIXIELAND JAZZ, SPONSOR LIVE PERFORMANCES, AND PRESERVE AND PROMOTE TRADITIONAL JAZZ. DONATION CONSISTS SOLELY OF OUT-OF-POCKET EXPENSE FOR THE JAZZ SOCIETY.

TO SUPPORT MEDICAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS ALL OVER THE WORLD AS NEEDED BY THE PARENT ORGANIZATION.DWB PROVIDES MEDICAL CARE TO PEOPLE IN NEARLY 70 COUNTRIES WORLDWIDE, SAVING LIVES THREATENED BY VIOLENCE, NEGLECT, OR CATASTROPHE. DURING THE COVID-19 CRISIS, THESE FUNDS WERE ESPECIALLY NEEDED.

Founded in memory of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Senator Robert F. Kennedy, the fund was created to give opportunities to under represented minority students attending or coming from one of the three Contra Costa County Community Colleges. We have awarded over $6.9 million in scholarships to 1,230 students since 1968. This includes undergraduate, graduate and Regalia scholarships. Funds go for general scholarships for disadvantaged youth.

The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.? Funds go for general support.

Oakland East Bay Symphony (OEBS) is as a regional orchestra serving the diverse population of Oakland and the East Bay. The Symphony has gained regional and national recognition for its unique convergence of artistic excellence and community service.OEBS aims to make classical music accessible, particularly to those individuals in the community who might otherwise never hear live symphonic music.

To help maintain the USS Jeremiah O'Brien ship museum anchored off Fisherman's Wharf. The mission of the National Liberty Ship Memorial is to restore, promote and operate the Liberty Ship, SS Jeremiah O'Brien, as a living museum. The goal of this mission is to preserve, for present and future generations, the story of the patriotic and brave men and women who built, sailed and defended the 2,751 American-built World War II ships known as Liberties.

Generations in Jazz is a non-profit public benefit organization dedicated to supporting community music activities. With jazz as our language, our goal is to build our communities by providing educational, performance and cultural opportunities for students and adults.We present opportunities for music education, performances and other community based events. We emphasize events that are open to the general public. We support music from diverse cultures and include musicians of all ages and backgrounds. FFRF and its robust legal department act on countless state/church entanglements on behalf of its members and the public. Through litigation, education, and other persuasive advocacy, FFRF ends hundreds of violations each year, such as prayers and proselytizing in public schools and events, public funding for religious purposes, and religious symbols on public property.FFRF is able to stop many violations without the need for litigation through our intake team. Members of the public can report church/state violations in their communities to FFRF. The Foundation has had countless victories through this proactive advocacy.

The mission of the Rossmoor Chamber Music Society is to enrich the lives of Rossmoor residents, their families, and their friends, by presenting a series of five high-quality chamber music concerts each season. John Muir Land Trust protects and cares for open space, ranches, farms, parkland and shoreline in the East Bay.In three decades, John Muir Land Trust has risen from humble roots to become a leading force for conservation in northern California. With 3,500 acres protected, many of the most beautiful places in the East Bay are permanently preserved for passive recreation, wildlife habitat, protection of clean drinking water, and scenic views. The funds donated go to these general environmental causes.

The American Heart Association is a non-profit organization in the United States that funds cardiovascular medical research, educates consumers on healthy living and fosters appropriate cardiac care in an effort to reduce disability and deaths caused by cardiovascular disease and stroke. Originally formed in New York City in 1924 as the Association for the Prevention and Relief of Heart Disease, it is currently headquartered in Dallas, Texas. The American Heart Association is a national voluntary health agency. Funds support general causes.
