Who can apply: Applicants must have a 501(c)(3) IRS designation and own or hold a long-term lease on the building. Eligible projects include specified historic preservation repairs and, in the 2027 pilot, energy audits, insulation, alternative energy, upgraded systems or appliances, storm windows and certain water mitigation work. Applications for lifting or relocating buildings are not considered.
