NEC Foundation of Americas concentrates its giving on youth-focused education and community well‑being, with a strong emphasis on K–12 and literacy programs in the Dallas area while also supporting athletics-based youth development and selective community charities. Grants point to a particular interest in girls' education networks, early literacy remediation, local education infrastructure, and occasional support for veteran housing or broader community foundations.
A defining feature of Nec Foundation of Americas is its repeated support for FC Dallas Foundation, including three $150,000 grants in the recent record across charity and education designations. That pattern sits inside a broader program of sizable, mostly local gifts centered on youth development, Dallas education, and community well-being. The foundation’s recent grants show a clear interest in K–12 support, reading recovery, girls’ education networks, and athletics-based youth engagement, alongside selected charity gifts for housing, health, and emergency response. Several recipients appear more than once, suggesting ongoing relationships rather than isolated checks. Catch Up and Read received multiple grants in the recent file, including $121,000, $65,000, and $40,000, all tied to literacy and education. Dallas-based education groups also recur, with gifts to Dallas Education Foundation and Young Womens Preparatory and Young Womens Network. Smaller charity grants extend the footprint to organizations such as Operation Finally Home and the American Red Cross, but the overall pattern remains tightly oriented toward Texas-based youth and community programs.
In K–12 education, the foundation gave $100,000 to Ut Dallas for education and $100,000 to Univ Texas at Dallas for education, showing support for local educational infrastructure as well as student programming. It also backed Dallas Education Foundation with $87,000 and $25,000 in 2025. Early literacy is another visible theme. Catch Up and Read received $121,000 in 2024, then $65,000 and $40,000 in 2025, all directed to educational work tied to reading recovery. Girls’ secondary education appears through Young Womens Preparatory, which received $98,000 in 2025, and Young Womens Network, which received $80,000 in 2024. The foundation also uses sports and charity grants to support youth and community services. FC Dallas Foundation received $150,000 grants for charity and education, while Operation Finally Home received $110,000 for charity.
Nec Foundation of Americas makes mid-sized grants, with a typical grant size of $76,250 at the 25th percentile, $99,000 at the median, and $112,750 at the 75th percentile. The recent record includes repeated gifts to the same recipients across 2024 and 2025, including FC Dallas Foundation, Catch Up and Read, Dallas Education Foundation, and Susan G Komen. That pattern points to ongoing relationships rather than one-time support. The foundation does not fund individuals and does not make program-related investments.
