Minnesota Veterans Assistance Fund (MVAF)

Who can apply: Eligible applicants include Minnesota-resident veterans who served at least one day of active duty since Dec. 7, 1941 and were honorably discharged (or are still serving), families of deployed service members, and surviving minor children of eligible veterans. Applications must originate through a local American Legion Post. Lifetime maximum assistance is $5,000, and reapplication is restricted within 30 days of the last payment.
