Micah 68 Foundation concentrates on faith-informed international development, primarily funding Christian and faith-affiliated organizations working in Africa and the Global South. They favor unrestricted, general operating support for locally focused programs that address poverty alleviation, livelihoods, education, child protection, and anti‑trafficking. Grants are typically mid-sized and repeated across the same partners, indicating ongoing multi-year relationships rather than one-off project funding.
Concentrated, repeat support: primarily multi-year or recurring unrestricted/general-fund grants of mid-to-large size to a curated set of international, often faith-affiliated grantees rather than many one-time small gifts.
Micah 68 Foundation’s recent giving is dominated by unrestricted support to faith-linked organizations working in international development, especially across Africa and other parts of the Global South. Its grants go to groups engaged in poverty alleviation, livelihoods, education, child protection, and anti-trafficking work, with several partners appearing in multiple years. That pattern points to long-term relationships rather than isolated project awards. The foundation’s largest recent grant in the data was $224,551 to World Relief for general fund support, followed by $192,373 to Myriad USA in Kampala and $159,987 to 4africa in San Antonio. It also gave repeated general fund grants to Lift Up the Vulnerable, Komera, Kupenda for the Children, and World Renew. The grant language is consistently unrestricted, which suggests flexible operating support is central to how the foundation funds. The recipient list includes organizations with U.S. offices and at least one Kampala-based grantee, but the work supported is largely international in scope. Across the recent grants, the foundation appears to back intermediary and service organizations that can deploy core support across multiple programs and countries.
Faith-based international development is the clearest theme in the recent grants. Micah 68 Foundation gave $224,551 to World Relief for its general fund and $152,740 to World Renew for unrestricted support, both organizations known for broad international relief and development work. Education also appears as a recurring priority. The foundation awarded $72,770 to Village Schools International for general fund support and $75,000 to Plant With Purpose, which has received repeated unrestricted grants in the record. Child protection and services for vulnerable children show up as another strand. Micah 68 Foundation gave $97,855 to Kupenda for the Children and $149,966 to Lift Up the Vulnerable, each marked as unrestricted grants to the general fund. Anti-trafficking and related justice work is reflected in support for organizations such as Redeem International and Justice Rising International, both funded with general operating support.
Typical grants sit in the mid-sized range, with a p25 of $35,000, median of $50,000, and p75 of $60,000. The recent record shows repeated gifts to the same organizations across multiple years, including World Relief, 4africa, Plant With Purpose, Lift Up the Vulnerable, Komera, Kupenda for the Children, King Baudouin Foundation US, and World Renew. That repetition indicates ongoing support rather than one-time project funding. Micah 68 Foundation is classified as a regular funder, not a DAF and not a funder of individuals. The grants are consistently labeled unrestricted or general fund support, which points to flexible operating support as the dominant mode.
