Who can apply: Applicants must be 501(c)(3) organizations operating a physical emergency shelter that primarily houses women who have experienced domestic violence; must have been in operation for more than five years; and must be at least one year removed from receiving a Mary Kay Ash Foundation grant. Recipients are ineligible for back-to-back grant years. At least one grant is awarded per state.
Deadline: Applications are accepted January 1 through April 30 annually; applicants are notified in August and awards are announced and distributed in September/October.
