Community Grants Program
Who can apply: Applicants must have tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, and their mission must align with JLPA•MP’s focus area of improving community well-being through programs and partnerships addressing the impacts of systemic poverty on physical and mental health, including insufficient housing, food, and provisions. A portion of funded activities must benefit people or groups in the JLPA•MP service area from San Mateo to Sunnyvale. Organizations must have a non-discrimination policy and, along with their staff and board members, must not be listed on the OFAC Specially Designated Nationals list. Funding cannot support fundraising events, unrelated travel or conferences, endowment campaigns, costs already incurred, religious education, or individual academic tuition.
Deadline: Applications accepted October 15 through November 30, 2026. Recipients will be notified in March 2027 and publicly announced in May 2027.
