Who can apply: Applicants must be tax exempt under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) or a tax-exempt governmental entity. The Trust does not accept unsolicited grant applications for the Jessie Hallett Trust because most charitable dollars are designated in perpetuity to named organizations. Grants will not be made to re-granting entities, individuals, endowments, supporting organizations under 509(a)(3), previous grant recipients not in compliance, or proposals that primarily benefit officers, board members, or employees.
Deadline: Grant applications must be filed by September 1 each year to be considered; majority reviewed annually in mid to late autumn.
