The Jerry and Nancy Perry Family Foundation concentrates its giving into a very small number of sizable donations to local community institutions. Recent grants show targeted support for a specific elementary school fundraising foundation, a Christian church, and an organization that provides assistance dogs — indicating interest in K–6 education, faith-based community life, and disability/animal-assisted services. The foundation appears to make large, straightforward donations rather than many small grants or broad programmatic support.
The Jerry and Nancy Perry Family Foundation’s largest recent gift was a $164,705 donation to the Morris Brandon Elementary School Foundation in Atlanta, a strong signal that K–6 school support is a central part of its giving. The next-largest grants reinforce a pattern of direct institutional support: $55,750 to Naples Christian Church and $50,000 to Golden Paws Assistance Dogs Inc. Those awards point to a portfolio built around local schools, churches, and service-oriented nonprofits rather than broad program portfolios. Recent grant records also show repeat support for several organizations across more than one year, including Naples Christian Church, Lakepoint Community Church, Life of Hope Ministries, Pioneer Bible Translators, Ninos De Mexico, Conservancy of Southwest Florida, Reaching Seekers Ministry, Peace on Earth Ministries, and Aspca. The foundation’s giving pattern is heavily weighted toward straightforward donations, often at meaningful dollar levels, with several awards clustered around a few institutions. Alongside education and faith-based grants, the foundation has also backed organizations connected to assistance dogs, conservation, housing, immigration services, and food or human services, suggesting a place-based approach that favors established local or regional nonprofits.
In education, the foundation made a $164,705 donation to the Morris Brandon Elementary School Foundation in Atlanta and a separate $10,000 donation to the same organization in 2023. That makes school fundraising one of the clearest threads in its recent record. Faith-based support is another recurring area: Naples Christian Church received $55,750 in 2024 and $39,000 in 2023, while Lakepoint Community Church in Eatonton received $18,000 in 2024 and $17,250 in 2023. The foundation also supported ministry organizations beyond Georgia, including Life of Hope Ministries in Joplin, Peace on Earth Ministries in Joplin, and Reaching Seekers Ministry in Norman, each with donations recorded in more than one year for some recipients. Another distinct line of giving reached service-animal work through Golden Paws Assistance Dogs Inc, which received $50,000 in 2024.
Typical grant sizes run from $1,075 at the 25th percentile to a median of $6,500 and $14,400 at the 75th percentile, but the recent record also includes much larger gifts concentrated in a few places. The pattern is more selective than broad-based, with repeated donations to several of the same recipients across 2023 and 2024 rather than a long list of one-time awards only. The foundation is family-run by name and does not make program-related investments or grants to individuals. Its recent awards are described as donations, which points to straightforward support rather than complex grant structures.
