About Jec Foundation
JEC Foundation’s recent giving is marked by repeated support for organizations working on housing stability, environmental protection, health, and human services, with one of the largest grants going to Rebuilding Together East Bay for general support. The foundation also backed Habitat For Humanity and Monument Crisis Center, pointing to a portfolio that combines direct service with community-level stabilization. Scholarship support appears as part of the mix as well, including grants to University of California Davis. Several recurring recipients suggest that the foundation favors sustained relationships rather than isolated gifts. Human Rights Watch appears multiple times in the recent-grants list, alongside repeated support for Doctors Without Borders and Puppies Behind Bars. The grant list also includes local California nonprofits such as League to Save Lake Tahoe, Medshare, KQED, and the Greater Farallones Association, showing attention to both place-based work and broader public-interest organizations. The pattern is not limited to one issue area: the foundation funds home repair, crisis assistance, environmental work, healthcare relief, public media, and scholarship support through a range of general fund and unrestricted awards.
What Jec Foundation Funds

The foundation also supports humanitarian and advocacy work. Doctors Without Borders received multiple General Fund grants, including $55,000 in 2024 and $30,000 in both 2024 and 2025.
