The Jason Heigl Foundation focuses almost exclusively on companion animal welfare in the Burbank/Los Angeles area, funding local rescue groups and programs that advance pet adoption and population control. Its grants are targeted to operational needs for shelters/rescues and direct services like spay/neuter, indicating a pragmatic, hands-on approach to reducing pet overpopulation and increasing adoptions.
Small-scale but concentrated giving: very few grants per year, focused entirely on animal welfare; typical awards are modest ($1,990–$5,000) to frontline rescues and service programs rather than large institutional endowments.
