Holman Foundation Inc appears to support national public policy advocacy focused on economic growth, making large, unrestricted gifts to policy organizations. Their sole recorded grant is a substantial unrestricted contribution to the Committee to Unleash Prosperity, indicating a preference for funding advocacy work that advances pro-growth economic ideas rather than direct services or local charities.
Highly concentrated: a single large, unrestricted grant to one national policy organization rather than many small or geographically dispersed gifts.
Notable grantees: Committee to Unleash Prosperity
Holman Foundation Inc’s recent giving is dominated by unrestricted and general-purpose support for policy organizations focused on economic growth, public policy, and advocacy. The single largest recorded grant is a $145,000 unrestricted charitable gift to Committee to Unleash Prosperity in 2025, which sets the tone for a portfolio that favors flexible support over restricted project funding. Across the recent grants list, the foundation repeatedly backs organizations engaged in economic ideas, legal advocacy, and public-policy analysis. Among the clearest examples is Committee to Unleash Prosperity, which appears twice in the recent list, including grants in Potomac, Maryland, and Fairfield, Connecticut. The foundation also supported The Heritage Foundation in Washington, DC, and Competitive Enterprise Institute in Washington, DC, both with sizable general-purpose and unrestricted awards. The pattern points to a funder that concentrates on institutions advancing policy arguments rather than direct service delivery. Its smaller grants still follow the same pattern: flexible funding to advocacy and research groups, often at round amounts such as $30,000, $35,000, $40,000, $45,000, and $50,000. The overall picture is of a regular funder using discretionary gifts to sustain organizations in the public-policy and economic-growth space.
A core theme in Holman Foundation Inc’s giving is economic-policy advocacy. The foundation gave $145,000 to Committee to Unleash Prosperity for an unrestricted charitable gift, and also awarded the organization $50,000 and $45,000 in other recent grants. That repeated support suggests a durable interest in public-policy organizations working on pro-growth ideas. Legal and regulatory advocacy is another visible area. National Right to Work Legal Defense Foundation Inc received $50,000 for general purpose support and later $35,000 as an unrestricted charitable gift. The focus is not limited to one institution: American Legislative Exchange Council received $40,000 unrestricted and $35,000 for general purpose support, showing a preference for flexible institutional funding. The foundation also supports research and accountability organizations. American Transparency received $30,000 unrestricted and $30,000 for general purpose support, while Open the Books received a $30,000 unrestricted charitable gift in 2025. These grants point to a portfolio that includes policy analysis and transparency work alongside broader economic advocacy.
