Harry W. Bass, Jr. Foundation Grants
Who can apply: Eligible applicants are qualified public entities, churches, or nonprofit 501(c)(3) public charities. Private foundations, foreign organizations, individuals, disqualified supporting organizations, and 509(a)(3) Type III non-functionally integrated organizations are not eligible. Unsolicited requests are restricted to organizations based in Dallas County; organizations outside Greater Dallas should obtain prior approval before submitting. Applicants may submit only one application within a twelve-month period. A current IRS determination letter showing 501(c)(3) public charity status, dated within the last five years, is required.
Deadline: Grant proposals are accepted at any time throughout the year. Applicants are encouraged to submit at least five months before funding is needed. Proposals are considered at approximately three Trustee meetings annually, usually in late spring/summer, late summer, and late November/early December.
