Food Insecurity Cycle
Who can apply: Applicants must be tax-exempt organizations under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, cannot be private foundations, and must serve Northwest Philadelphia in ZIP codes 19150, 19144, 19138, 19128, 19119, or 19118. Organizations must demonstrate both direct-service work and active systems-change efforts. One LOI per organization may be submitted per calendar year. Funding generally excludes discriminatory institutions, grants to individuals, religious promotion, loans, endowments, debt reduction, and capital campaigns. A copy of the organization's most recent IRS determination letter is required.
Deadline: LOIs accepted June 1 at 8:00 a.m. through July 1 at 5:00 p.m. annually. Grant award contact is made in late September.
