Delta Dental of Arkansas Foundation focuses its giving on improving oral and community health access across Arkansas by supporting clinical providers, school-based health programs, and local community health centers. Grants are largely strategic investments in organizations that deliver direct care—particularly dental clinics and rural health networks—while also reserving funds for smaller local mini-grants. The foundation appears to prioritize statewide, service-delivery partners that expand access to preventive and restorative care for underserved populations.
Delta Dental of Arkansas Foundation Inc’s largest recent grant, $600,000 to Arkansas Mission of Mercy Inc in Sherwood, points to a clear emphasis on direct oral-health delivery in Arkansas. The foundation backs organizations that expand access to preventive and restorative care, especially through clinical providers, school-based health programs, rural health networks, and community health centers. Its giving also includes smaller local grants, but the core pattern is strategic support for service delivery rather than broad general philanthropy. Recent awards show repeated support for statewide partners that operate at scale. School-based Health Alliance of Arkansas received $208,154 in 2025 and $59,776 in 2024, indicating a multi-year relationship with school-linked oral health work. Tri County Rural Health Network Inc in Helena also received a large strategic grant of $184,117 in 2025, underscoring attention to rural access. The foundation’s portfolio is overwhelmingly Arkansas-centered and oriented toward organizations that can translate funding into care, education, or community outreach for underserved residents.
School-based oral health is a clear theme. In 2025, the foundation gave $208,154 to School-based Health Alliance of Arkansas for strategic work, and in 2024 it followed with $59,776 to the same organization, showing continued support for school-linked health delivery. Rural access is another focus. Tri County Rural Health Network Inc in Helena received $184,117 in 2025 as a strategic grant, and Mainline Health Systems Inc in Dermott received $207,824 in 2024, both pointing to providers that serve communities with limited access. Community education and prevention also appear in the grant list. Welcome Health in Fayetteville received $70,000 in 2024 as an education grant, while St Francis House Nwa Inc in Springdale received $69,438 the same year for education work.
Typical grant size clusters in the mid-five-figure range, with p25 at $15,000, median at $27,320, and p75 at $40,000. The recent grant list includes both large strategic awards and many smaller community or education grants, including mini grants capped at $2,500 and community grants that can reach $40,000. The foundation appears to use a mixed portfolio of one-time and repeated support: School-based Health Alliance of Arkansas and CARTI Foundation both appear in more than one year. It also runs named grant programs, and several of them accept unsolicited applications.
