Cousins Foundations Grantmaking Program
Who can apply: Organizations should align with the Foundations’ focus areas and geographic priorities, demonstrate commitment to racial equity, and primarily serve people most in need. Priority is given to organizations serving South Atlanta, East Lake, or Grove Park; more than 50% of the population served being BIPOC; and more than 50% being below the applicable free- and reduced-price lunch income threshold. Grassroots organizations with leadership connected to the community, annual operating budgets below $1 million, limited fundraising capacity, and limited major institutional funders may receive priority. Applicants must provide organizational, board, strategic, demographic, financial, and impact information.
Deadline: Two cycles annually. Spring 2026: LOI January 19-February 13; full application deadline May 15; board meeting June 4. Fall 2026: LOI July 13-August 7; full application deadline November 6; board meeting December 2. Award notifications are issued within five business days after the board meeting.
