Community Foundation of the Verdugos — Annual Grant Cycle (General Grants / Unrestricted Fund)
Who can apply: Applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations headquartered in and providing services in the Verdugo Region. Organizations headquartered outside the region may qualify if they already provide substantial services in the Verdugo Region. Applicants must have appropriate fiscal and program accountability. Organizations that received a CFV grant in the 2026 grant cycle cannot apply in 2027. The Foundation does not fund religious or political groups, budget deficits, projects or programs focused exclusively on sports, work outside the Verdugo area, direct aid to individuals, administrative or operational expenses, or organizations out of compliance with state and federal laws. Nonprofits may apply once per 12-month period, and selected organizations must wait 24 months before applying again.
Deadline: Applications are due July 1, 2027. Grant decisions will be approved September 22, 2027, with checks issued during the first part of October 2027. Requests should cover projects and needs from Fall 2027 through Summer 2028.
