Community Foundation of the Verdugos — Annual Grant Cycle (General Grants / Unrestricted Fund)
Who can apply: Applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations headquartered and providing services in the Verdugo Region. Organizations headquartered outside the region must already provide substantial services in the region. Applicants must have appropriate fiscal and program accountability. Organizations that received a CFV grant in the 2026 grant cycle cannot apply in 2027 and may apply again in 2028. The Foundation does not fund religious or political groups, budget deficits, projects or programs focused exclusively on sports, activities serving areas outside the Verdugo Region, direct aid to individuals, administrative or operational expenses, or organizations out of compliance with state or federal laws. Selected organizations must wait 24 months before reapplying.
Deadline: July 2, 2027. Grant decisions are approved September 22, 2027, with checks issued in the first part of October 2027. Funding requests should cover needs from Fall 2027 through Summer 2028.
