About Chuck Lorre Family Foundation
The Chuck Lorre Family Foundation concentrates major gifts in Los Angeles-area health care and youth-focused education programs, frequently funding hospitals, community clinics, and school-based initiatives that serve low-income and underserved populations. Grants are often program-specific (youth employment/internships, residency partnerships, scholarship funds, COVID-era clinic support) and include both medical/social services (meals, reproductive health) and K–12 classroom/green space investments. The foundation favors established local institutions and national education platforms that deliver direct services and measurable outcomes for children and families.

About Chuck Lorre Family Foundation
The Chuck Lorre Family Foundation’s largest recent grant went to Cedars-Sinai, with an $11,597,200 award in 2025. That scale is consistent with a funder that makes major, program-specific commitments to Los Angeles institutions rather than small scattered gifts. Across recent grants, the foundation supports health care, youth development, education, and community services, often through named initiatives that tie money to a specific program or facility. Cedars-Sinai appears as a recurring anchor in the foundation’s portfolio, including support for a youth employment and development program fund. UCLA Development is another major recipient, with a grant designated for the Big Bang Theory Scholarship Fund and Cardiology Program. The foundation also backs organizations serving people with urgent basic needs, such as Project Angel Food and The Midnight Mission, alongside education-oriented groups like DonorsChoose and Young Eisner Scholars. Its giving pattern points to a local funder that favors established organizations and direct-service projects. Recent grants also connect to medical training, internship programs for high school students, and school-based STEM support, showing a preference for structured programs with a defined use of funds.
