Boone Electric Community Trust (General Grants)

Who can apply: Applicants must be 501(c) organizations, benevolent or civic groups with an IRS designation letter, or public entities such as libraries, schools, PTAs/PTOs, fire departments, and police departments. Funds must be used within the Boone Electric Cooperative service territory. Organizations may submit only one application per calendar year. Requests for day-to-day operating expenses, including salaries, capital campaigns, and multi-year funding are ineligible. School-related applications from teachers, students, or volunteers require review, approval, and signature by the principal; higher education requests require a department head or supervisor signature. Applicants must submit a completed application and financial statement, IRS designation letter when applicable, current board list, and two bids or estimates directly related to the request.

Deadline: Applications are due by 5 p.m. on December 1, February 1, April 1, June 1, August 1, and October 1. If the deadline falls on a weekend or holiday, applications must be received beforehand. Late or incomplete applications are held until the next funding cycle.
