About Andersen Corporate Foundation
A repeated $250,000 commitment to Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity anchors Andersen Corporate Foundation’s recent giving and shows how narrowly the foundation concentrates its philanthropy. Across the latest grants, the foundation supports affordable housing, homeownership access, and housing-related capital needs rather than a broad mix of fields. Its largest awards are paired with smaller grants for museums, food security, youth programming, and emergency support, but housing remains the throughline. The foundation’s housing support is not limited to one-off projects. It returned to Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity in 2024 and 2025 for the same Build Forward Together campaign, and it also backed St Croix Valley Habitat for Humanity for energy and wind resistant housing solutions. Beyond Habitat partnerships, Andersen Corporate Foundation gave to organizations working on permanent facilities, campaigns, and operating support tied to stable community services. The grant list also shows support for local institutions in St. Paul, Minneapolis, Hudson, and Des Moines, with most awards at modest six-figure or five-figure levels. The pattern is consistent with a corporate foundation that uses grants, product donations, and partnership support to advance housing and related community needs in the places where Andersen employees live and work.
What Andersen Corporate Foundation Funds
Affordable housing is the clearest theme in Andersen Corporate Foundation’s grantmaking. In 2025, the foundation gave $50,000 to St Croix Valley Habitat for Humanity for energy and wind resistant housing solutions, linking housing support to durability and resilience. It also provided $50,000 to Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity for Framing Our Future Campaign Support. Community infrastructure appears in several other awards. The foundation gave $75,000 to St Croix Valley Foodbank Inc for a permanent building and sustainable operations, indicating support for physical capacity as well as service delivery. It also awarded $50,000 to Open Arms of Minnesota for “Opening our Arms Wider to Nourish our Neighbors: A Capacity Capital Campaign.” Youth development and recreation show up as another lane. Andersen Corporate Foundation gave $50,000 to YMCA of the North for “2024 YMCA Camp, Fitness for All and Youth Leadership,” and $50,000 to Northern Star Council Boy Scouts of America for general operation support for scouting programming.
