History Field Trip Grant Program

Who can apply: Only current or active K-12 educators or administrators may apply. Trips must be to Civil War, Revolutionary War, or War of 1812 battlefields, museums, or related historic sites. The program generally functions most efficiently for classrooms with at least 15 students. Only one application and one funded class per school district per school year may be submitted. Applicants must apply at least one month before the trip, obtain pre-approval, and submit receipts, at least seven photos, a local press release, at least five student thank-you notes, and an online exit survey after the trip. Meals, overnight lodging, souvenirs, luxury options, and unrelated trips are not covered.

Deadline: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and must be submitted at least one month before the field trip.
