Grant Consideration
Who can apply: Applicants must be nonprofit organizations qualified under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, located within Michigan, and benefiting Michigan communities. Grants must be for charitable purposes and serve a public benefit through a charity recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3). Organizations must not discriminate based on age, creed, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation. The foundation does not fund capital projects unless initiated by the foundation, fundraising events or conferences, individuals, K-12 schools, secondary schools or universities, lobbying or political campaigns, religious purposes unless initiated by the foundation, units of government, or veterans organizations.
Deadline: Inquiries accepted September 1-September 30 annually; qualifying organizations invited to apply by October 31; notifications made by November 30; grants issued by December 31.
