Raccoon Creek Benefit Fund
Who can apply: Applicants must be nonprofit organizations or government entities such as conservation districts, with tax-exempt status verified. Projects must occur in the Raccoon Creek watershed or proximate locations and benefit water quality in the Raccoon Creek or surrounding watersheds. Eligible activities include restoration, monitoring, planning, land conservation, education, outreach, and AMD treatment. No set match is required, but cash or in-kind match strengthens the application. Final reporting is mandatory, and projects generally should be completed within 12–18 months.
Deadline: LOIs are reviewed on a rolling basis; full proposals are reviewed twice a year in spring and fall, following the conservation grants schedule. The 2026 fall full-proposal deadline is October 16, 2026.
