The Mazars USA Philanthropic Fund gives a mix of national-sector grants and targeted local community support, with sizable gifts to major health and environmental organizations alongside moderate grants to New Jersey social-service providers. Their portfolio shows interest in cardiovascular/health causes, conservation, higher education/research, and direct community relief (food security, homelessness, youth services). They also fund fundraising/intermediary platforms, suggesting a preference for scalable giving mechanisms as well as place-based impact in the NY/NJ region.
The Mazars USA Philanthropic Fund’s largest recent gift in the file is a $100,000 general-support grant to the American Heart Association, which captures one of its clearest priorities: health-related philanthropy at meaningful scale. The fund has also made repeated general-support awards to major national organizations, including American Online Giving Foundation Inc., and it pairs those larger gifts with a steady stream of mid-sized community grants. Across the recent record, the fund supports cardiovascular health, environmental conservation, higher education and research, and direct-response community services such as food security and homelessness assistance. It also backs philanthropic infrastructure, using intermediary platforms alongside direct nonprofit grants. The portfolio is not limited to one type of beneficiary. It includes established national charities, regional service providers, and scholarship support, with a mix of general operating support and more targeted awards. Within the recent grants list, Columbia University and the Meadowlands YMCA each received $35,000 in general support, while Community Foodbank of New Jersey appears multiple times, reflecting ongoing support for basic-needs work in the New Jersey area. The pattern is one of broad nonprofit support with recurring emphasis on health, conservation, education, and community stability.
Health work is a visible part of the foundation’s portfolio. In 2025, it gave $50,000 to the American Heart Association for general support, following a $100,000 grant in 2024, showing continued funding for cardiovascular advocacy and health programming. Education and scholarship support also appears in the record. Columbia University received $35,000 for general support in 2024, and the Njcpa Scholarship Fund received $13,000 for scholarships the same year. Community food security and homelessness assistance are another throughline. Community Foodbank of New Jersey received $19,000 in 2023, then $15,000 in both 2024 and 2025, while Coalition for the Homeless received $20,000 in 2023. Environmental giving is represented by general-support grants to The Nature Conservancy and World Wildlife Fund Inc., each at $35,000 in 2024.
Typical grants are modest-to-mid-sized: the p25 is $1,000, the median is $3,000, and the p75 is $5,958. The recent list mixes these smaller awards with a few larger gifts, so the distribution is wide but still centered on relatively accessible grant sizes. The fund’s pattern also suggests repeat support rather than one-off giving, with organizations such as American Heart Association, American Online Giving Foundation Inc., Meadowlands YMCA, New Jersey Performing Arts Center, and Community Foodbank of New Jersey appearing more than once across the recent years. The foundation is a philanthropic fund, and its grants are primarily general support, with some scholarship funding. It funds individuals only through scholarship awards, not direct personal grants.
