The Clark Family Private Foundation concentrates its giving on local community institutions in the Jupiter, Florida area, with a strong emphasis on supporting performing arts education and basic community health services. The foundation’s largest and repeated gifts have gone to the Maltz Jupiter Theatre’s conservatory programs, alongside support for a community medical clinic, suggesting a focus on youth arts training and local healthcare access rather than broad national philanthropy.
The Clark Family Private Foundation Inc has made the Maltz Jupiter Theatre Inc a recurring anchor of its giving, including a $70,000 conservatory grant in 2024 and a $42,000 conservatory grant in 2025. That pattern points to a funder that supports performing arts training, local healthcare access, and a small set of institutional partners rather than a broad mix of many one-time grants. In Jupiter, Florida, the foundation has also backed Jupiter Medical Clinic with grants of $32,000 in 2024, $27,000 in 2025, and $25,000 in 2023, alongside support for Jupiterfirst Church Inc and New Studio for the Visual Arts of Jupiter Inc. Beyond Jupiter, the grant list includes education, athletics, conservation, and community-serving organizations such as Yale University, the University of Connecticut Foundation Incorporated, and Loggerhead Marinelife Center. The recurring appearances of the same recipients across multiple years suggest a relationship-based grantmaking style with repeated support for selected institutions. Recent grants also show that the foundation is comfortable funding both general support and program-specific purposes, including conservatory, education, and conservation work.
Performing arts education is a clear thread in the foundation’s giving. The largest recent grant was $70,000 to Maltz Jupiter Theatre Inc for conservatory support, followed by $42,000 in 2025 for the same purpose. Local health access is another recurring area: Jupiter Medical Clinic received $32,000 in 2024, $27,000 in 2025, and $25,000 in 2023 for general support. The foundation also funds education-linked institutional work. University of Connecticut Foundation Incorporated received $10,000 in 2023, $10,000 in 2024, and $10,000 in 2025 for the Neag School of Education. Conservation appears as well, with Loggerhead Marinelife Center receiving $6,375 in 2025 for its Center for Conservation.
The typical grant size is modest: p25 is $2,000, median is $2,750, and p75 is $10,000. At the same time, the recent list includes larger outliers, especially for long-running institutional partners. Recipients appear across multiple years, including several repeat grants to the same organizations from 2023 through 2025, which points to ongoing relationships rather than one-off awards. The foundation is a private foundation and does not fund individuals. Its recent awards are mostly general support, with some program-specific and institutional-purpose grants.
