About Safari Club Int'l Colorado Chapter
Safari Club Int'l Colorado Chapter’s recent giving centers on wildlife conservation in Colorado, with the largest listed grant going to Coloradoans for Responsible Wildlife Mgmt for $187,500 in 2025. The chapter also backed Colorado Parks & Wildlife at multiple levels for moose, elk, deer, and pronghorn conservation, showing a pattern of direct support for species-focused work rather than broad unrestricted funding. Beyond state wildlife agencies and conservation groups, the chapter has also funded hunting-heritage priorities such as hunter education, firearm education, and youth outdoor skills. Its grants connect conservation, education, and hunting access through projects tied to habitat protection, public education, and community-based wildlife work. The recipient list suggests a funder that uses grants to support both advocacy-oriented and field-based conservation efforts. Colorado Parks & Wildlife appears repeatedly across multiple conservation themes, while Coloradoans for Responsible Wildlife Mgmt appears with large awards tied to wildlife conservation. The chapter’s scholarship programming also adds a youth-development thread to its profile, linking outdoor tradition with student support.
What Safari Club Int'l Colorado Chapter Funds
A major theme in the chapter’s giving is big-game wildlife conservation. Another recurring area is broader wildlife advocacy: Coloradoans for Responsible Wildlife Mgmt received $106,800 in 2025 for Colorado wildlife, alongside a larger $187,500 grant for Colorado wildlife conservation. Education and training also show up in the grant list. The chapter gave $10,433 to Colo Parks & Wildlife for hunter education and $10,000 to Faster Independence Institute for firearm education. Youth-oriented outdoor programming appears too, including $12,600 to Colorado Youth Outdoors for youth outdoor skills and $15,000 to St Marys Hs Shooting Team for safety/education. These awards fit the chapter’s stated emphasis on education and hunting heritage.
