The Lipschitz Family Foundation concentrates its giving on Orthodox Jewish religious and communal institutions, with sizable grants to Hasidic congregations and yeshiva-style schools and a notable donation to a Jerusalem-focused charity. They also make a number of small, unspecified charitable gifts. Their funding appears aimed at supporting religious life, education and community infrastructure within Orthodox/Jewish communities both locally and internationally.
Lipschitz Family Foundation’s recent grantmaking is centered on Orthodox Jewish religious and communal institutions, with the largest disclosed award in the file going to Friends of Jerusalem for $150,000 in 2024. The pattern is not limited to one institution type: the foundation also made a $117,945 grant to Mosdos Krula in 2024 and supported congregations, yeshiva-style schools, and community charities across Brooklyn, Monsey, London, Antwerp, and Jerusalem-linked work. Its grants show a consistent emphasis on religious life and community infrastructure rather than broad issue-area philanthropy. The record also shows repeated support for the same organizations over time. Mosdos Krula appears with another $38,100 grant in 2023 and $32,070 in 2026, while Cong Bobov of London received $96,050 in 2023 and $14,000 in 2024. Similar repeat awards appear for Mesifta Tiferes Tzvi, Cong Tiferes Moishe Dsolmod, Machon Masie Rokeach, and Cong Toldos Tzvi Dspinka. Alongside those larger institutional gifts, the foundation makes many smaller charitable donations, including a large set of grants labeled Various Donations Less Then 5000.
One clear theme is support for Hasidic congregations and related institutions. In 2023, the foundation gave $96,050 to Cong Bobov of London, then followed with $14,000 in 2024, while Cong Kdishas Mordche Inc received $28,500 in 2023. Education is another major thread. Mosdos Krula received $117,945 in 2024 and $38,100 in 2023, and Mesifta Tiferes Tzvi was funded with $30,640 in 2024 and $18,806 in 2026. The foundation also supported Yeshiva Chasan Sofer with $13,000 in 2023 and Mesifta Nachlas Yaakov with $10,100 in 2023. A third area is charitable work tied to Jerusalem and broader Jewish communal needs. Friends of Jerusalem received $150,000 in 2024, and Chaim V'chesed was granted $47,475 in 2023 and $25,202 in 2024. The foundation also backed Vaad Harabonim with $13,940 in 2024.
Typical grant sizes cluster in the mid-five-figure range: the p25 is $9,604, the median is $13,970, and the p75 is $32,505. The annual grant total on file is $149,691, with a very small asset base relative to that giving level. The record also shows repeat giving to several organizations across 2023, 2024, and 2026, suggesting ongoing relationships rather than one-off support. Structurally, the foundation appears to use discretionary charitable grants rather than individual awards or program-related investments. Many grants are labeled as religious or charitable, and some are grouped under broad small-donation lines such as Various Donations Less Then 5000.
