About Brighthouse Financial Foundation
Brighthouse Financial Foundation makes a small number of relatively large, unrestricted operating grants to locally focused civic institutions that strengthen community stability in the Charlotte/Western North Carolina region. Their support concentrates on practical infrastructure and service organizations—digital access, housing, food security—and on university-community partnerships and place-based healing/faith-led initiatives. Grants are pragmatic, general operating gifts intended to sustain core capacity rather than fund narrowly defined projects.

About Brighthouse Financial Foundation
Brighthouse Financial Foundation’s recent giving is marked by a $140,000 general operating grant to E2d - Eliminate the Digital Divide, a signal that digital access is one of its central priorities. The foundation gives unrestricted support in relatively large amounts, with several grants at $100,000 and $60,000, and it does so mainly for locally rooted organizations in the Charlotte and Western North Carolina region. The foundation’s grantmaking is corporate in structure and focused on nonprofit organizations that strengthen Brighthouse communities and advance financial security.
