The Armonia Foundation concentrates its philanthropic support on Jewish communal and Israel-related causes, favoring institutional partners that advance religious, educational, or veteran-related work. Most dollars flow to a small set of organizations, suggesting targeted, relationship-driven philanthropy rather than broad-based funding. Grants are few but sizable and often repeated to the same recipients, indicating sustained commitments to chosen grantees.
Concentrated giving: a small number of relatively large grants, repeated support to the same core grantees rather than many one-off awards.
Armonia Foundation Inc C/o Sheldon Goldman’s giving is anchored by repeated support for Chevrat Pinto, which received $144,000 in 2024, $108,000 in 2023, and $90,000 in 2025. That pattern points to a funder that returns to selected Jewish communal organizations over multiple years rather than spreading funds widely. The foundation’s grant list also shows support for institutions tied to Jewish learning and community life, including Mesivtha Tifereth Jerusalem of America, Young Israel of White Plains, and The Miryam Institute. Its recent grants include support for Israeli soldier and veteran-related work through Our Soldiers Speak, as well as Jewish student and campus organizations such as Emory Jewish Student Center and Northeastern University Hillel Advisory Committee Inc. Grants also reach beyond the United States, with awards to Friends of Chabad Lubavitch of Athens Greece and Anya Benya in Netanya. The portfolio suggests a targeted approach centered on Jewish communal institutions, education, and Israel-related causes, with several recipients appearing more than once across the recent grant record.
Jewish communal institutions are a central part of the foundation’s grantmaking. Chevrat Pinto received three large general-support grants across 2023 to 2025, while Mesivtha Tifereth Jerusalem of America and Young Israel of White Plains also received support for general operations. The Miryam Institute received $30,000 in 2025, adding a women’s Jewish education and leadership dimension to the portfolio. The foundation also funds Israel-related and veteran-oriented work. Our Soldiers Speak received $43,600 in 2023, and Anya Benya in Netanya received $20,000 in 2025. Chabad-linked organizations appear more than once as well, including Friends of Chabad Lubavitch of Athens Greece and Chabad Youth in Brooklyn. Campus-facing Jewish engagement is another visible thread, with grants to Emory Jewish Student Center and Northeastern University Hillel Advisory Committee Inc.
Typical grants cluster in the low five figures, with a p25 of $5,400, a median of $10,800, and a p75 of $25,000. The pattern is relationship-based rather than one-off: Chevrat Pinto appears in three different years, Chabad Youth appears in 2023, 2024, and 2025, and Emory Jewish Student Center appears in 2023 and 2024. The foundation appears to favor flexible support, with many awards labeled general support or public charity. It funds public charities and does not fund individuals or make program-related investments.
