Who can apply: State Aspiring Educators organizations and campus chapters are eligible. Projects must primarily focus on educator quality, community engagement, political action, or social justice.
Who can apply: Open to educators from pre-K through 12. Applicants may be outside Maine but must be within the United States, and proposed work must align with the Institute's mission and themes.
Who can apply: Open to nonprofit organizations, solo practitioners, and small law firms involved in impact litigation. Preference for cases that have been filed or are about to be filed. Pro se litigants are not eligible. Applicants should need funding to keep the case moving forward. Environmental cases are prioritized when affected communities are directly involved or clearly benefited. Funds are for future out-of-pocket litigation expenses only, not attorneys' fees, staff time, or overhead. Recipient must agree to repay the original grant plus 7% simple interest if fees or costs are recovered.
Who can apply: Applicants should be nonprofit organizations whose work aligns with Giant Steps Foundation's mission, values, focus areas, and guiding principles. The Foundation emphasizes humane, sustainable, plant-based, financially responsible, and ethically managed operations. It does not accept unsolicited proposals; organizations may submit an inquiry, after which the Foundation determines whether they are eligible or invited to submit a full proposal.

Who can apply: Projects must be in the humanities or interpretive social sciences and critically engage the interests and histories of people of color and other historically marginalized communities through ethical digital tools and methods. The program addresses inequities in access to digital support among scholars and institutions with less support for digital projects.
