Who can apply: Organizations must be nonprofit entities qualified under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, located within Michigan and benefiting Michigan communities. Grants must serve charitable purposes and public benefit, and organizations may not discriminate based on age, creed, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation. The foundation generally does not fund capital projects unless initiated by the Foundation, fundraising events or conferences, individuals, K-12 schools, secondary schools or universities, lobbying or political campaigns, religious purposes unless initiated by the Foundation, units of government, or veterans organizations.
Who can apply: Tax-exempt organizations may submit one request per fiscal year. Requests should support a particular program or project, identify specific costs and outcomes, and be essential to the nonprofit's mission. The Foundation does not fund individuals, loans, political causes, advertising, religious activities restricted to a faith community, annual funds, retroactive reimbursement costs, third-party regranting or funneling organizations, endowment or capital campaigns, or capital repairs/improvements in excess of $50,000.
Who can apply: Applicants must be nonprofit organizations qualified for tax exemption under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or public governmental units. The applicant must be based in Guilford County or request funds for a project in Guilford County. Projects must benefit Guilford County residents. The Foundation generally does not support campaigns to raise or increase endowments or annual fund solicitations.
