Who can apply: Eligible applicants include nonprofit corporations with 501(c)(3) status that file IRS Form 990 or 990-EZ, and state or local government agencies. Capital projects must directly benefit residents of Williamsburg, James City County, or York County. Capital requests are considered only during Grant Cycle 3, and availability varies by year. WHF does not fund retrospective projects, individuals, multi-year funding, fundraising events, endowments, direct lobbying or political campaigns, or sponsorships.
Deadline: 2026 Grant Cycle 3 capital project applications are due September 29, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Capital proposals are considered only in the last grant cycle of the year.
