Guided by family values, The Wright Promise is dedicated to energizing, revitalizing, and enriching the community through support of social, educational, and religious causes.
The Wright Promise’s recent giving is anchored by a $37,552 general operating and programming grant to Inspired Hearts and Hands Inc for Beaver County school district communities. That grant captures the foundation’s pattern of combining community support with education-related work, rather than relying on a single issue area. Across 2025, it funded school districts, youth-serving nonprofits, faith-based organizations, and local charitable events, with support ranging from operating assistance to sponsorships and program-specific gifts. The foundation’s largest visible commitments also include $30,300 to The Payton Wright Foundation for operational and programming support serving families with children with cancer, and $30,080 to The Lighthouse Foundation for the Lighthouse Littles Program. Other awards show the same mix of direct service and community reinforcement: paid internships for youth, teacher development, food assistance, behavioral health, service animals, and local fundraising events. The Wright Promise’s stated core promises are Faith, Family, Service, Education, and Leadership, and its grantmaking reflects that framework in practical, locally oriented ways. It is a private foundation with annual grants of $422,090 and a latest 990 year on file of 2025.
Education shows up in several forms. The Wright Promise gave $21,453 to Blackhawk School District Education for general operating support, and $19,878 to Rochester Area School District for school district programming and teacher educational development support. It also awarded $14,000 to Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit for school district programming and teacher educational development support for Beaver County school districts. Youth and workforce development are another clear thread. The Summer Impact Paid Internship Program is a paid internship initiative in partnership with Job Training for Beaver County and local nonprofit organizations for motivated youth across Beaver County. In the same area, the foundation gave $5,000 to Center in Midland PA for youth summer programming and $5,000 to Aliquippa Impact for youth mental health program support. Faith-linked and family support also appear in the recent grants list. Concord Church received $10,000 for soup kitchen expense fund, while Beaver County Young Men's Christian received $5,000 for food assistance to community. The foundation also supported The Asservo Project Inc with $5,000 for cyber and educational awareness programs.

The recent grant list shows a clustered pattern around mid-sized awards: the top grant is $37,552, followed by $30,300 and $30,080, while many other grants land at $5,000. The foundation appears to favor both operating support and sponsorship-style giving, alongside program-specific grants. It is a private foundation and a regular funder, and the grant programs listed accept unsolicited applications. Several recipients recur in the 2025 list, including The Payton Wright Foundation, which appears in two separate grants, suggesting some ongoing relationships rather than one-off gifts.
Grant recipients are overwhelmingly in the United States, with 79 grants recorded to U.S. organizations. The largest concentration of named recipients in the recent list is in western Pennsylvania communities such as Beaver Falls, Beaver, Aliquippa, Monaca, Midland, New Brighton, and Cranberry Township. Outside Pennsylvania, the list includes recipients in Sarasota, Florida; Xenia, Ohio; Arlington, Virginia; and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The foundation’s giving scope is broader than its Beaver, PA headquarters, but the recipient pattern still centers on western Pennsylvania.
The grant programs list Faith, Family, Service, Education, and Leadership as the foundation’s core promises. Recent grants show support for school districts, youth-serving organizations, faith-based groups, food assistance efforts, behavioral health programs, service animal training, and local community nonprofits.
Yes. The active grant programs shown for the foundation all indicate that they accept unsolicited applications, including the Grant Application, the Online Organization Grant / Gifting Application, the Organization Grant / Gifting Program, and the Summer Impact Paid Internship Program.
The recent grant list is centered on $5,000 awards, with larger commitments appearing less often. The top awards in the list are $37,552, $30,300, and $30,080, while many grants are at the $5,000 level.
Its recent grants include general operating support, program support, sponsorships, teacher educational development support, food assistance, capital support, and event underwriting. The foundation also funds gifts and grants to organizations aligned with its core promises.
Yes. The Payton Wright Foundation appears more than once in the 2025 list, with one grant for operational and programming support and another for charity fundraising event sponsorships. That suggests some repeat relationships within the same grant year.
