Who can apply: Applicants must be nonprofit organizations or existing tax-exempt organizations serving children in Kern County. Applications must include proof of nonprofit status (IRS Determination Letter), vendor quotes or estimates, and a detailed itemized request showing beneficiaries, program goals, and participants. Administrative needs, gas cards, salaries, and gift cards are not eligible.
Deadline: Applications must be submitted by April 1 for the Spring funding cycle and by October 1 for the Fall funding cycle. Grants are issued in April and October each year.
