Who can apply: Applicants must be tax-exempt nonprofit organizations serving children in Kern County. Requests must be specific, itemized, include vendor quotes or estimates, proof of nonprofit status (IRS Determination Letter), and a statement of beneficiaries, program goals, and participants. Administrative costs, gas cards, salaries, and gift cards are not eligible.
Deadline: Applications must be submitted by April 1 for the Spring funding cycle and October 1 for the Fall funding cycle. Grants are issued in April and October.
