AGFUND Project Funding
Who can apply: UN and international organizations must be accredited by AGFUND’s Board of Directors, have previously had a project funded by AGFUND, and complete AGFUND’s development project funding application form. Organizations seeking accreditation must submit a letter and statute, align with AGFUND’s objectives, have no political goals, implement projects without discrimination, and have more than five years of experience. NGOs must be legally authorized voluntary organizations with no political aims, activities compatible with their stated purposes, official registration, an independent legal and financial identity, at least three years of operation, adequate administrative and technical capacity, relevant successful project experience, audited financial statements for the last three years, and recommendations or supporting letters from two organizations with which they have worked. Arab NGOs must additionally submit the specified project funding request form and supporting organizational, registration, financial, and recommendation documents.
Deadline: For Arab NGO requests, mid-April for consideration at the June Board meeting and mid-October for consideration at the December Board meeting. Approved projects are announced in mid-July and mid-January, respectively.
