SAMW supports Swiss medical science in ways that directly strengthen clinical practice, research careers, and medical ethics. Its giving is highly programmatic and targeted, with a clear emphasis on training the next generation of physician-scientists, especially in clinical research, neurology/neuroscience, radiology, migration and health, and biomedical ethics. Most opportunities are reserved for Swiss-based researchers or institutions, and several are invitation-only or prize-based rather than open calls.
