Richmond Foundation is a place-based funder focused on improving life chances for residents of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, especially people facing disadvantage, crisis, or barriers to opportunity. It supports both frontline services and longer-term systems change through core funding, project grants, and a few large partnership initiatives, with a strong emphasis on education equity, health, advice/support services, and community cohesion. The Foundation is notably flexible: it backs established local organizations, newer groups through smaller gateway grants, and individuals via catalyst-style support for urgent needs and learning opportunities.
