Open to individuals or organizations with clear promise to respond to unmet needs of those who are poor and/or marginalized and/or promote self-help and empowerment within communities. Preference for grassroots organizations, smaller budgets (operating budgets under $750k), and projects that would not be possible without JHH assistance. Does not fund capital/building/political campaigns, fellowships, for-profit programs, administrative salaries/expenses, conference fees, or travel.
