Projects must serve the foundation's statutory purpose, especially the advancement of pharmaceutical sciences and research with a focus on medicines and the profession of the pharmacist. The foundation states that it generally does not fund areas that are the responsibility of the state, basic research in medicines, or personal projects that primarily serve the applicant's own qualification and advancement, except in narrowly limited cases where the topic directly contributes to the development of the pharmacy profession or pharmaceutical sciences.
